WhatsApp can send HD photos already!

WhatsApp can send HD photos! Many users rely on WhatsApp to send photos, but observant users may notice that the photos are often in low resolution. This is because the images get compressed, resulting in a decrease in photo quality.

Although the feature to send files up to 2GB in size was introduced not long ago, it only displays the file as a document. You can't directly view the photo and need to download the file to see the image.

Users have shared that when sending high-definition photos, you can now choose to send them in either standard quality or high-definition quality.

After sending a photo, you will notice "HD" in the lower-left corner of the image, allowing users to instantly recognize that it's a high-definition (HD) photo.

The feature to send HD photos on WhatsApp will be rolled out to all users in the coming weeks, available for both iOS (Apple) and Android users. With this feature, you won't need to specifically use WeChat to send original photos anymore after AirDrop!
